We encourage all to participate in the Nativity Festival by bringing your nativity scene (or creche) to be in the exhibit! With a variety of nativity scenes being brought to display, we can continue to have a unique exhibit year after year!
Here’s how to display:
Before actually bringing your pieces to display, please take the time to fill out the “Exhibit Card Information” for new creches. Use the form to fill out a short synopsis about each nativity scene you have to display. Send this information via email to: nativityfest@gmail.com. DEADLINE: is 1 December 2010. This will ensure there is an exhibitor card ready for each of your creche(s) when you come to set up at the exhibit.
Here is the form to fill out and submit by 1 December: Exhibit Card Information 2010
Bring your crèche(s) to the LDS Meetinghouse at 4141 NW Harrison Street on: Thursday, 2 December, between 1pm and 8:30PM
Other info to remember:
PLEASE LABEL YOUR CRECHES WELL (on the underside of each piece).
When you bring your crèche(s), you will be able to unpack them yourself, and arrange them as you prefer. Bring any of your favorite accessories to help display them, such as greenery, a velvet cloth, etc.
We have chosen to feature different countries and continents at each of the different tables. Please look for an attractive and appropriate area to place your creche.
Please help us ensure the safety of the crèches by keeping children out of the exhibit hall during setup and take down.
When it is time to take down:
Please pick up your crèches on Monday, 6 December, between 6:30am and 9:30am. If you are unable to come at that time, please ask a friend to pick them up for you, contact us at nativityfest@gmail.com, or call one of the committee members to arrange another time.
Every effort will be taken to ensure the safety of your crèches. There will be volunteers staying overnight at the church each evening during the exhibit. There will be stanchions with ribbons between the viewers and the crèche displays. Host and hostesses will be stationed throughout the viewing area to make sure this remains a no-touch exhibit.
